Bavarian Custom Irons is a German company, domiciled in Bavaria, near Munich. Our purpose is to build high-quality tattoo machines by hand. Moreover, we attach high importance on the best possible service and availability. A tattoo machine, no matter which type, is and will be a technical device with wearing parts, therefore it is very important to have a nominated contact person in case of problems or service – anytime. Every B.C.I. tattoo machine will be delivered with a lifelong guarantee (only valid for the first owner). The guarantee comprises all parts of the machine, also the wearing parts. Repairs and service operations always have highest priority and will leave the factory normally after a maximum of 24 hours.

Bavarian Custom Irons is not an "After Work Project“ or hobby. Here we are building machines and settling service operations and repairs 10 – 12 hours per day, 6 days a week.

About me: My name is Stefan Fischer, I was born in Munich in 1976, I am married and I have a son. Originally, I learnt the profession of industrial mechanic (precision mechanics and optics), later childcare worker. I started getting tattoed when I was 17 and started doing tattoos myself at the end of 2005 – first only as a hobby. I have taught myself many things and have ‘picked up‘ a lot when I got my arms tattoed. Gerhard of Time Travelling Tattoo in Landshut explained to me many important basic principles (thank you very much). I was then also working several months in the tattoo studio Hot Needles in Augsburg / Kaufbeuren - Germany.

At the beginning of my „tattoo artist carreer“ I bought many different machines, also from a very well known internet auction, spent a lot of money and got quite annoyed: Most of the machines looked great, but could not really be used because they were working rather rough and ready. So I got rid of them! As I have certain knowledge about metal processing and especially about field coils (I have been working for 2,5 years in a company which was specialized in the production of taping machines for transformers and field coils), I quickly had the idea to build my own machine, according to my own needs. The first machines were, of course, not a real hit, but I learnt quickly from my mistakes, bought better material and more tools for metal processing.

So I was experimenting day by day during several months, until finally I found a satisfying material combination and was ready to start. Now I am already building my own tattoo machines since the end of 2006 under the name "Bavarian Custom Irons". I have learnt a lot regarding the mode of operations and material combination during this time. By conversations and information exchange with many kind tattooing and mechanical engineering colleagues, I am always improving my machines even more.

Building machines has become my life task, and I gave up everything else for it. Unfortunately, doing tattoos myself was also affected by this, as I do not often have time to tattoo. However, it is more important for me to supply good machines to the tattooers, to be there to answer questions and guarantee a good service, also after the purchase. And I am always very happy to see beautiful tattoos which are and were made with my machines.

Thank you very much for your interest!

Stefan Fischer
